Getting Pregnant After Miscarriage PDF Print E-mail
Written by Julie Simmons

Losing a pregnancy to miscarriage can be a very distressing time for a family, and trying to get pregnant again afterwards does not always bring the feelings that you might expect.

Whereas the first time you ever discover you're pregnant with your first child you are more than likely overwhelmed with joy, falling pregnant again after a miscarriage often brings with it a sense of fear. It can often seem difficult to keep positive as thoughts of a miscarriage happening again are hard to forget. I will go through a few things in this article that may help put your mind at ease and show you a resource that can help you with pregnancy after miscarriage.

Miscarriage is quite a common occurrence among women, but those that do experience it will understand how difficult it can make feeling positive about becoming pregnant again. You may especially feel tense and anxious when approaching the date when you miscarried before, but this is normal.

You may also feel less inclined to immediately tell friends and family that you are pregnant again. Many couples choose to delay telling anyone until they are beyond the time when they miscarried previously. Of course this depends on how you and your partner feel and choosing when you tell people your good news is entirely your choice. Remember though that family and friends will be able to be supportive during your pregnancy and are good people to talk to if you're feeling anxious.

It's natural to feel more positive as time goes on and you get further into your pregnancy. It's good to discover the reasons for the previous miscarriage so you can understand why it happened. Discuss the reasons with your partner so that you can both be aware of them and support each other.

It can also help to find groups that get together to discuss pregnancy and miscarriage. These types of groups have many couples that have experienced very similar situations that you can relate to, and can be very useful in easing the amount you worry.

A top resource that I'd recommend you check out for pregancy information can be found by going to Pregnant After Miscarriage.
